A brutal regime that for so many years has used the Russian People for power, profit, and as “cannon fodder” defined as “soldiers regarded or treated as expendable in battle”. The current war in Ukraine is unlike many wars in the past. Each individual around the world can participate in bringing down those causing the deaths of the innocents as has happened so many times in wars of the past. Freedom is a word that has been used for a long time. What if in your spare time waiting for a bus, a train, at the doctor’s office, watching a movie on tv for 374th time, or waiting for a flight that in your heart you know is going to be canceled, you text your Congress person or even the White House with the simple word “freedom”. Nothing else, just to show your support for the Ukrainian people and their struggle with someone who wants to take the ground underneath their feet.
